Sentosa Boardwalk

Sentosa Boardwalk

Stroll along the water's edge with the harbor lights in the distance at Sentosa Boardwalk. This scenic route is the pedestrian way into Sentosa, starting at the waterfront shopping mall and making its way onto the island. The walkway is made accessible by two-way moving sidewalks covered by a canopy. The boardwalk is also the first in Southeast Asia to feature indigenous, tropical landscapes. You'll pass modern architecture, jungle landscape, manicured gardens, theme parks, and anchored ships on your walk. Remember to pack water and sunscreen.

Sentosa Boardwalk is an option that visitors may take to reach Sentosa. Located just a few yards from VivoCity Mall’s promenade, this covered bridge allows visitors to get to Sentosa Island and back on foot. Not only are visitors able to cross to Sentosa at a leisurely pace, they can also be mesmerized by the gorgeous vistas of the landscapes and cityscapes around it and the small details that make the walkway endearing. Ornamented by a lush greenery, it is Southeast Asia’s first garden-themed boardwalk.

Walk Across The Waters

The Sentosa Boardwalk is a pedestrian walkway that shares the same bridge which carries vehicular traffic into Sentosa. The pathway of the Sentosa Boardwalk is accessible from the eastern end of the VivoCity shopping mall and connects to the Resorts World Sentosa Waterfront area.

If the idea of walking to Sentosa seems long and tiring, not so at all. In fact, the Boardwalk is only 700 metres long. This is equivalent to walking one-and-three-quarter times around a standard stadium track.

In actual fact, the distance is less than that as the Boardwalk is fitted with travelators which will help you move along at speed. There are 10 of these travelators, which head in both directions, leading in and out of Sentosa.

Come rain or shine, day or night, the boardwalk’s got you covered – with canopies sheltering you from the elements. Well, there’s a section on VivoCity’s side that’s not covered but plans are underway to fix that; explaining the construction going on.

Sentosa Boardwalk Bazaar

On weekends, the Boardwalk turns into a bazaar. Stalls are set up along the Sentosa Boardwalk and provide retail distractions for those who wish to walk and browse at the same time.

Dining choice along the way

For those looking to unwind before or after your visit to the Resort, head to The Wine Company located at the halfway mark of the boardwalk. Sit back, order some wine and food and savour a scenic view.

Easy access to attractions

The Sentosa Boardwalk leads to the RWS Waterfront so you can easily access attractions such as Trick Eye Museum, Crane Dance, S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, and restaurants such as Seafood Republic and the Malaysian Food Street.

Romantic lights at night

After the sun sets, the boardwalk changes – the sweeping views and mesmerising lighting combines to provide a setting for a romantic night of star-gazing.
